This position is based in our EU Headquarters in Dublin, Ireland.
    The area: Localisation

As Google continues to expand its reach around the world, our Localisation team makes the company's ideas and products look, feel, and sound right in every country where people use our services and products. Google has been localised in more than 100 languages, our advertising and consumer products are available in 40 languages, and we're adding more content, products, and languages all the time. We collaborate with international Engineering, Product, and Marketing teams to steer products through the localisation process and ensure successful launches across the globe. Our team consists of enthusiastic, creative, and knowledgeable people who excel in a fast-paced, culturally diverse environment.
The role: Community Manager, Localisation EMEA

As a Global Content Community Manager, you will be responsible for recruiting, coordinating, and managing the operation of a community dedicated to the globalisation of Google content. You will serve as the day-to-day liaison between the Google Localisation Team and external parties, ensuring that our members have access to necessary resources, and coordinating meetings and virtual events with translators. The success of our globalisation initiatives depends on your contribution in engaging the community and encouraging knowledge-sharing amongst members. You are Google's eyes and ears in the community and will provide regular data-driven analyses on the health of the community.
    Responsibilities:

    * Form an integral part of the Global Content team to provide support to the community of freelance translators and internal stakeholders.
    * Establish and maintain Google's relationship with the translators while encouraging them to build relationships amongst themselves.
    * Trouble-shoot or escalate technical and project-related issues as needed.
    * Work with regional teams, legal stakeholders, and the vendor(s) to ensure Google and the community members adhere to relevant policies.
    * Coordinate and monitor an incentive program to encourage participation in the community, and to reward quality translations and posts. This includes, but is not limited to, monitoring community member participation, satisfaction measures, and key project performance metrics.

    Requirements:

    * BA/BS degree preferred with a strong academic record (MBA a plus).
    * Significant experience in the localisation and global content industry.
    * In-depth knowledge of online communities, forums, and social networking environments.
    * Experience with writing HTML or other online applications is a plus.
    * Experience with Google’s products is a plus.
